What is Marula Oil?

Marula oil is one of Africa’s greatest skin care oils and is an extremely stable cosmetic oil. It is rich in anti-oxidants, omega 6 and 9 and has a high linoleic content. Its high content of palmitic acid creates a protective coating on the surface of the skin making it a good oil for dry skin sufferers. It absorbs quickly, hydrating the skin, healing skin tissue, reducing redness, reducing trans-epidermal water loss and increasing smoothness and conditioning of the skin.

What is Marula Oil good for?

Marula oil is high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and amino acids. It's widely used as an ingredient in skin care products, and appears to be beneficial for oily, acne-prone, dry, and ageing skin. It's also effective at keeping hair soft, supple, and moisturised.

What are the benefits of Marula Oil?

Marula oil is a lightweight and antioxidant-rich oil that hails from the nuts and kernels found in marula trees. The light-yellow oil has a faint nutty scent, is fast-absorbing, and contains fatty acids, which have moisturising and emollient properties. The amino acids found in marula oil (L-arginine and glutamic acid) help restore hydration and have anti-ageing properties, which is why it’s found in so many beauty products. And since marula oil contains vitamins C and E, it earns major beauty snaps for neutralising free radicals from pollution and a sun exposure.
The best thing about marula oil is that it's a multi-tasking power player. Not only will it hydrate your skin, protect against UV rays, and minimise dark spots, but it also works on dry, brittle ends hair.

How often should I use Marula Oil?
